Director, Gymnastics
Fairgrounds YMCA

I was a competitive gymnast from 1979–1991, competing at Class 1 (equivalent to today’s Level 10) and continuing my gymnastics career for two years at the collegiate level. My passion for gymnastics, coaching, and athlete development has guided my work for more than three decades.

I’ve had the opportunity to coach athletes at every stage of development, from parent-and-tot classes through pre-elite girls, as well as boys’ programs through Level 5 and assisting with Levels 5–10. My coaching journey has taken me across the country, including leadership roles as Facility Director, Head Girls Team Coach, Recreation Director, Preschool Director, Gym Manager, and Boys Development Coach. Since 2016, I’ve been proud to coach at Watertown Family YMCA, helping young athletes build confidence, strength, and lifelong skills through gymnastics.

Fun Fact

Outside the gym, I enjoy flatland hiking (I’m past the age of going up and down hills!), birding, photography, concerts, family barbeques, and spending time with our dogs.
