OUR PHILOSOPHY

Watertown Family YMCA is responding to the complex needs of today's families and acting upon our commitment to children, families, and communities.

The goal of the Y Daycare is to provide your child with a safe, caring, and fun environment with opportunities to grow and develop new skills as they learn through socialization, exploration, choice, and creative play.

Our Daycare Center has received a 4-star rating from QUALITYstarsNY, New York's Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for early childhood programs.

As an Eco-Healthy Child Care® endorsed provider, the Y Daycare creates and maintains a child-care center that is healthy and safe by reducing children's exposure to environmental hazards like lead in paint and water, unsafe plastics, and toxic chemicals found in cleaning supplies.

The Y Daycare also participates with the WCSD pre-k program, as it houses our lessons plans based on the Creative Curriculum and NYS Early Learning Guidelines.

DAYCARE FEATURES

High-quality care for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years, based on availability
Participation with the Department of Social Services
3,240 sq. ft. fenced-in outdoor playground for safe active play
Spacious on-site parking for convenient drop-off and pick-up
Nutritious meals prepared in accordance with state nutrition guidelines
Staff trained in MAT, CPR, and First Aid on-site at all times
Private lactation room available to support nursing mothers

BILLING

Billing is processed on the 1st of each month for monthly billing, or on the 1st and 15th for bi-weekly billing.

All program fees are based on a 5-day per week schedule. Payments are made through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from a checking, savings, or credit card account.

Payments are withdrawn on the 1st and/or 15th of the month, one month in advance of care.

The first half of fees is due at the time of registration. Registration is completed in person at the daycare center.
